Life happens – and sometimes we need a few daily reminders throughout the day – when the mind just goes too fast and our feelings, senseless.
Sometimes, we just need a few right words to make us feel better – and if this is what you need, I hope you find the daily, simple reminder you need right now in your life.
1. It’s okay if the only thing you did today was breathe

Think of everything you have gone through and have overcome. This too will pass, as all things do.

Those mean words, those mean actions, that others have done to you – They are not a reflection of you.
They are a rather a reflection of that person’s own character. It has nothing to do with you. So don’t let it harbor a place inside you – And above all, do not let those words that only took a few moments live within you for the next few weeks, months, or the rest of your life.

I know there are some of you who don’t get to hear these words that much. So here it is.
Love comes in many forms – there is more love around you than you may believe… even from strangers. Believe in this. And even to yourself and for yourself – remind yourself of these words. I love you.

There is nothing more satisfying than creating something from you and true to you. It is so easy to unconsciously go through life doing what we are told that this becomes the norm, but every once in a while, take it upon yourself to create something. People will try to tell you throughout your life what kind of person you are – Don’t believe them. Only you know who you truly are. They do not make your life choices – You have more freedom than you believe.

Pain pushes you to strive towards goodness, not just because you don’t want to feel that pain anymore, but because most of all you never want another person to experience that same pain.

Living can get uncomfortable – that is how we grow as people. But the soul – the soul should be like water, comfortable as it is, whether it is still or running – it simply is and flows.

Learn to fall in love with nothing – There is so much more to be found in darkness, in silence, in stillness. Even in nothing.

I find that so many of our troubles and mishaps bring about some surprising moment of goodness in the end that makes it all worth it. Look for that.

Don’t only count your big wins – even the tiniest steps forward need to be acknowledged and celebrated! Otherwise, you may end up always wishing and looking forward – And not appreciating all the good things happening now in your life.

And looking back, you can see the change you were completely blind to before then.
