Faces are one of the most complex things to draw, but the more you practice and the more you master the art of drawing faces, the more gratifying the experience of drawing people is.

Every little nuance between each of our faces is what makes the human face so beautiful (in my opinion).

I hope that this collection of pencil sketches and face drawings can inspire you to try drawing faces yourself. One of the most important things is practice, so practice away! And above all – Just have fun drawing!

I chose these faces to help others practice drawing because of the feeling in them. In art, it can be easy to lose the feeling of a human’s soul in trying to get the details right – but if one can portray the soul of a person (whether the subject is real or not) in a drawing, I think that is a wonderful work of art.. no matter how rough the sketch is.
