Things I Enjoyed January-March 2022

I recently wanted to try out a new type of blog post idea where I showcase some things I’ve been enjoying: Whether it be food, clothes, products, books, music etc.

I’m not that knowledgeable about fashion, tech, or home goods so I’m probably not going to be the best reviewer but these are just things I’ve personally liked.

I hope you find some things that interest you, whether it be a clothing piece or a song.

Old Navy Stuff

Well, I had never been in an Old Navy store until recently and I realized I was missing out so bad.

I love how cute their clothes are, how affordable they are (They do sales or offer discounts often), and how they fit me (I’m 5 ft 1 inch tall so I have a hard time buying clothes).

Here are some of my favorite things I’ve bought recently.

Old Navy Jeans

I’m a Size 00 in Old Navy Jeans and I buy the regular fit. The length is actually good on me as it fits like a full-length pair of jeans (I buy the ankle length and high waisted ones).

I’ve had such a hard time finding (affordable) jeans that fit me so I’ve been going on a jeans frenzy since I’ve found Old Navy.

The fit is a bit baggy and relaxed on me but I like that because they are so comfortable that I can wear them all day long. With other pairs I would immediately take them off as soon as I got home but with these I don’t feel like that.

My measurements just in case it helps:
Height: 5 ft 1 inch
Weight: probably around 110lbs (I haven’t weighed myself in several months)
Waist: 24 inches
Hips: 34 inches

Both of these jeans are the O.G. Straight Jeans. Here is the link for the Ecru one and these are the Light Wash Pair (Color: Fern Clean).

The Ecru pair has a button-fly and the light wash has a zipper fly.

I only bought 2 pairs in March but I went and bought more in different colors in April because I really like Old Navy jeans.

Edit: The light wash jeans (Fern Clean) have been the baggiest around the thighs and butt area. The other washes are not as a baggy as the ones shown in the photo.

Old Navy Tops

These are my favorite tops and shirts that I’ve purchased recently from Old Navy.

Red and White striped shirt with the ecru Old Navy Jeans:

I love the color of the red and white striped boyfriend shirt and the material is like a crisp cotton so it’s perfect for spring.

I got mine in an XS (I get most Old Navy clothes in XS). I also believe these are regular (not petite).

This is another boyfriend shirt I got a bit earlier than the red and white one. It is no longer available I think because it was for the colder months.

This one has a different material: It’s more thick and soft so I love wearing it when it gets chilly and I just want to throw another layer on.

What made me fall in love with this boyfriend shirt was the thick, soft material.. but also it has little specks of color sewn into the fabric. For some reason I just love that.

Below is an Old Navy tunic sweatshirt I’ve been loving to lounge around in. It’s an XS as well but it’s got the perfect oversized baggy fit. These are the regular fit, not petite.

It also has slits on the side which is perfect for putting your hands in your pockets.

I also really like the fit of their ribbed slim-fit t-shirt. I got mine in a Size Small Petite.

The collar has more stitching so I’m hoping it will keep the collar from stretching out after washes.

Old Navy Tote Bag

It’s a very simple tote bag but I love it so much. The gingham pattern and the blue color makes me so happy whenever I see it. It also makes the outfits I wear even cuter.

I love carrying this tote bag for when I grocery shopping so I can carry my other tote bags (for the actual groceries) in it.

Note: This tote bag isn’t fancy in any way and it doesn’t have compartments in it.

Indomie

The food craving I’ve had these past couple months have been for Indomie.

Whenever it runs out I get a little sad and can’t wait til the next time I can buy more.

The way I like to eat it is with a sunnyside egg (with a runny yolk) and a side of kimchi radish that I get from Hmart. It is so good this way!

I get mine from Hmart but they are also available on Amazon here.

Stainless Steel Pan

Recently I’ve been becoming a little more aware about the health concerns behind using nonstick pans so I bought this Frigidaire stainless steel pan from Amazon to replace the big frying pan.

I’ve been really enjoying it.

It is quite a big and heavy pan (next time I think I’ll try to find one with aluminum inside to make it lighter) but I’m quite used to using heavy cookware since my mom loves cooking with cast irons.

I was worried about food sticking, but since I season the pan I hardly experience sticking.

To season, I just heat the pan up on med-high heat, pour some grapeseed oil in (high heat oil) and spread it out with a paper towel, then wait for the oil to smoke and turn the heat off. When using a seasoned pan, I do not wash the pan with soap. Just water.

I season once every 1 or 2 days of use or if I see white spots (water marks) appearing on the surface. This is my indicator that the oil is gone.

It seems like a lot of work, but it’s about the same as a cast iron so I don’t mind. I actually prefer it over the cast iron because it’s easier to see if it’s clean or not. I only have black cast irons.

I love that I can cook a lot of food in this pan because of its size (and it comes with lid).

Here is a rice noodle dish and there was no sticking at the bottom 🙂

Bowl from Marshalls

A bowl I randomly bought from Marshalls but I love it so much so I had to include it in this blog post.

I love the color and the speckly glaze. I mostly like to eat rice in this bowl.

Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover

I am so thankful for this product!

This saved several off-white shirts from Sriracha and spicy red ramen soup stains so it must be mentioned here in this blog post.

When I squeeze a bit of this onto the stain and rub it in. After 5-10 minutes I wash it out. You can use a laundry machine but if I’m not planning to do laundry, I just wash it out in the sink with water and some hand soap.

It works best if you put it directly on the stain.

I made the mistake of trying to wash out the stain and putting the stain remover on a wet shirt. It took two tries to get the stain off. Next time I put it on without wetting the shirt and the stain completely came out in one go.

I got mine from Walmart in I believe the detergent aisle. You can also find packs of it on Amazon.

Laser Printer

Inkjet printers just don’t fit my lifestyle because I don’t use printers that often. This causes the ink cartridges to dry up and the printer goes bad 🙁

That’s why I decided to get a laser printer.

I got the HP LaserJet Pro M15w.

This printer only prints Black&White, which was perfect for me because I usually just print documents or shipping labels. Mine came with a starter toner inside.

I also love how small and compact this printer is. It is also on the affordable side – I got mine for around $120.

I bought mine from Best Buy here.

It is also available on Amazon here if Amazon works better for you.

So far I’m very happy with it but I’ve only had it for 1 month so I’ll see how it performs over the course of years hopefully ^^

Music

Here are a few songs I’ve been listening to A LOT these past couple months.

There are other songs I listen to, but these are the ones that have been on replay for weeks on end, and I really really like 🙂

I also recently came across kneon’s playlist of Japanese songs on Youtube and was introduced to these songs that I’ve been loving:

Itte by Yorushika

Lifeline by Nowisee

Shounen yo Ware ni Kaere by Yakushimaru Etsuko

Kaibutsu (Monster) by Yoasobi (specifically this slowed and reverb version on Youtube). Here is the link for the original song as well on Youtube.

Thank you so much for reading this blog post!

It was a bit different from the usual type of content I upload to this blog but since I bought or enjoyed a lot of stuff the past few months I thought it would be useful to create a blog post for anyone interested.

Let me know if you enjoyed this type of blog post or if you have any suggestions for next time.

I hope you have a wonderful day or night, and until next time!
