One of the best ways to grow your audience as an artist or creative is by growing a following on Instagram. Instagram is such an amazing visual platform that engages people, and one of the best ways to introduce your art to people on Instagram is by using hashtags. Here is a list of art hashtags I have compiled over the course of my time using Instagram as an artist that I wanted to share with you all.
I’ve been following Aelita for a couple years now, and I’d go as far as saying that she’s one of the main reasons why I became an abstract expressionist painter.
Before I even started dabbling with paints, I was looking for inspiration on Youtube when I stumbled upon her Youtube channel. It was, in fact, the very thing my soul was looking for and I often, even now in the midst of my painting career, look back at her process to try to realign myself with simply the magic of color.
The year is winding down to an end soon, and I wanted to dedicate this blog post to everything I am thankful for that happened this year. Because A LOT happened. And right now, I may be feeling iffy and unsure about things, but sitting down and reflecting really got me thinking about how incredible this year has been. And I’m blown away.
When I graduated, I didn’t have any plans. There were times when I thought I’d have nothing, and have to live that way. I think this year, the life in me has rekindled for the first time in a long time, and it’s surreal. I mean, I’m not successful as of yet…I have a long ways to go until I reach that point in my career. But I am blessed. Very, very blessed.

It is so important as an artist to have their own unique art style in order to stand out and be able to have a body of work that is reminiscent to you, as the creator. I wanted to share with you five steps I’ve come up with from my own personal experience on how to find your art style.
It’s something I learned was deeply important as I became an adult. As a child though, I had no clue.
It was so hard to love myself as I was. I struggled with my own self-hate for the longest time, and I hadn’t the slightest idea how to overcome this part of myself. I went through years learning how, taking in every moment and feeling and thought that ever tore me apart or uplifted me. I learned what kind of person I wanted to be, and slowly I made myself a path, trying to rebuild my soul to a state where I could get there.
I became an artist slowly.
As a child, I drempt as full and wide as any other, and the dream was simple then: I wanted to be an artist. I drew everyday and practiced with as much passion and pure intent as any other child; And it was as I grew older, that I grew to become more disinterested in my dream.
I don’t know if you’ve felt that.
I don’t know if you’ve ever lost a dream or not, but to live without one is a terrible thing. No matter what new drawing or painting I created, no matter the recognition or compliments I received, I felt a divide in who I was. And I no longer loved what I loved.
To dream as an artist is to put one’s entire heart behind it.
In a way, it’s like falling in love: We pour every bit of ourselves behind our art and creative business, so it’s inevitable… to wonder “What if it all fails?”. Especially since our art comes from such a personal place inside ourselves, we become so terribly afraid. And we end up getting lost – in our own creative fears.
